Baby Nurseries Are Fun For Babies And Parents!
|
There are a few necessary items that are needed for any baby, then there's the fun stuff! Baby nurseries can be decorated and furnished in so many different ways; you have to choose baby furniture, wallpaper or paint, carpeting, rugs, fixtures and so much more - and everything can be baby oriented. There are so many ideas for baby nurseries, you might want to pick up some magazines and decorating books, as well as browse the internet, to figure out where you want to start with your own nursery.
If you already have carpeting or wood floors, you can choose some colorful rugs for your baby's room. Decorating baby nurseries is easy when you just have to remember that babies love color - and it keeps them entertained, especially when they get a bit older and start to crawl. Try to find rugs with lots of color, and maybe even with some pictures or letters on them; you could look for rugs with a specific theme - unique baby nurseries usually have a few different themes and colors that are tied together to make sense (for instance, find a uniquely hand painted crib and dresser, and match the colors in the furniture to a custom baby quilt, then add a fun Winnie the Pooh or baby animal rug - now all you need is some paint or baby nursery wallpaper, and you've decorated the nursery!). Make sure that you put backing on all rugs so that neither you or your baby can shift the rugs or slip on them.
There are many stores and online websites, as well as eBay, to look at for baby nursery furniture. You could get something more on the traditional side - an oak dresser and crib set for example - or you could get some hand painted custom baby furniture, and create your own baby nursery, in your own special style. If you want your baby nursery décor to be totally unique, try creating a mural on one wall. You can also buy many baby nursery stencils as well. And if you're the creative type, you could make a custom baby quilt for your little one's bed - just match the colors in the room to create a pulled together look. Don't forget that you can also find really nice baby nursery bedding as well; you could even build the room around bedding that you've already chosen.
Remember that your baby nursery picture is your own unique idea - just put it all together and don't be intimidated. Start with one thing - such as a color you like, or some vintage baby nursery bedding that you've bought - and work around that. Do one thing at a time. Find a photo of a baby nursery you like and take that to a store if necessary; just show a salesperson and they will help. If you want a polished look (a designer baby nursery look) you could always hire an interior designer instead. Whatever you do, don't forget: baby nurseries are supposed to be fun and relaxing for both babies and parents, so pick what you like!
